Disney has released two of the songs from the upcoming Mary Poppins Returns, and it sounds like they have managed to capture the magic of the original classic.
In the first track, “The Place Where Lost Things Go,” Emily Blunt’s beautiful voice invokes memories of Julie Andrews singing “Feed the Birds (Tuppence a Bag).” Am I wrong?
Next up, Lin-Manuel Miranda channels Dick Van Dyke as he brings a questionable English accent to the big, brassy, and upbeat song, “Trip a Little Light Fantastic.”
