After being announced a few years ago, Capcom finally showed off the remake to there beloved survival horror game Resident Evil 2. The trailer opens in an odd fashion where we follow the point of view of a rat scurrying around a storage room. We then here a struggle ensue over two men and start trashing the place, where eventually a shelf falls in smashes the rat and the point of view switches off. We then see that the two men fighting were a police officer and a zombie who proceeds to take a bit of the man’s neck. Quickly the zombie is shot in the head and we see who that the man who has killed the zombie is a young Leon Kennedy who is one of the game’s protagonists.
Resident Evil 2 marked the first appearance of the character who is one of the series mainstays and stars in the much-beloved Resident Evil 4. The game looks to be a faithful remake of the original but taking an approach more similar to Resident Evil 4 unlike the remake of the first game that recently got re-released on PS4, Xbox One and PC a couple of years ago. Along with the game finally being showcased, the game also has a release date for January 25th, 2019.
