The final Aquaman trailer is here, and it looks epic. This fast-paced trailer gives us a deeper look into James Wan’s take on the DC superhero. Wan has an obvious love of Aquaman and he’s creating a bright, colorful, and weird world with crazy action set pieces. We see several scenes of a young Arthur Curry training to become the future hero Atlantis needs.
The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be…a king. Aquaman features Jason Momoa. He is joined by “Amber Heard as Mera, a fierce warrior and Aquaman’s ally throughout his journey; Willem Dafoe as Vulko, counsel to the Atlantean throne; Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master, the present King of Atlantis; Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, King of the Atlantean tribe Xebel; Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as the vengeful Black Manta; and Nicole Kidman as Arthur’s mom, Atlanna; as well asLudi Lin as Captain Murk, Atlantean Commando; and Temuera Morrison as Arthur’s dad, Tom Curry.”
Also, earlier today, word came that Amazon Prime members will have a chance to catch the film one week early, on December 15. But even if you don’t have Prime, tickets are currently available for purchase.
Aquaman opens December 21, 2018. Will you be there opening weekend, or have DC’s recent theatrical missteps soured you?
